Antonio Carlos Gonçalves was born in São Paulo, in April 1944. He earned a degree in Accounting in 1966 from Fundação Álvares Penteado (Alvares Penteado Foundation) and a degree in 1972, from the Law School of Pontifícia Universidade Católica (Pontifical Catholic University) - PUC in São Paulo. Member of the Brazilian Bar Association, São Paulo, Federal District - Brasília and Rio de Janeiro chapters, among others. Charged with the litigation, economic law and mining departments, as well as consumer law, with wide experience at the Brazilian Congress, especially with Parliamentary Investigation Committees. He headed up the Technical Commission for Mining Legislation sponsored by the Brazilian Mining Institute IBRAM, was a Director of the Brazilian Securities Commission - CVM, and a member of the Brazilian Financial System Resources Council.
